Nemanja Vidic is rumoured to be going to Real Madrid. However, Man Utd will give him a pay rise if only he stays at Old Trafford. If the Serbian centre back were to go to Madrid, he will be sorely missed as he is the only defender in the squad who have experience. The other centre backs Johnny Evans, John O'Shea, Corry Evans are good player, who lack the vital experience which Vidic has.

Mesut Ozil is about to be part of the Red Devils. It was rumoured that Manchester United paid 25 million for the exciting German youngster. Mesut Ozil is one of the many young stars in the FIFA World Cup 2010, and his speed something defenders have to be wary of. Manchester United signs Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez from Chivas de Guadalajara. Chicharito basically mean small peas, which is a nickname adapted from his father's nickname, Chicharo, meaning pea. (due to his pea-green eyes) Javier Hernandez has shown an eye for goal in the World Cup, playing in the Mexican squad, and he is most likely taking jersey #14, which formerly belongs to Zoran Tosic, who left the club for CSKA Moscow.
Another youngster joining the squad will be Fulham's Chris Smalling, who have been making noticeable mistakes for the England U-20 squad. However, he will seek to improve in United and might star in the opening match against Newcastle United.
